Leeds are not ready to give up on the chance of signing Che Adams on loan this month and according to Phil Hay the possible move is still alive and kicking.
The Athletic journalist has revealed that the Whites have submitted a “big” offer for the 23-year-old, who is without a goal for the Saints since he arrived at St. Mary’s in the summer.
Adams is also believed to be keen on a move to Yorkshire, perhaps because he has found his game time limited in recent weeks with two starts in the previous 18 league games.

However, Hay also suggests that Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl is being stubborn over the proposed move, and standing in the way of the striker leaving the club, which has led some Leeds fans to suggest the club should focus on other targets.
The West Yorkshire outfit are in urgent need of a striker since Patrick Bamford is the only senior forward in the current squad, and time is running out in the transfer window.
Because of that, some supporters feel their side is growing more desperate to land Adams, and that could have negative repercussions whether they land the former Birmingham player or not, as they could end up paying more than he’s worth.
It promises to be an excruciating last few days for most of the fanbase as they eagerly await news on this possible transfer, as well as others, as it could have a big influence on the outcome of their season.
Some supporters do have a bit more optimism than being shown by the reactions above, showing both a belief in Adams’ ability as well as the likelihood of him joining.
