Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to Christian Eriksen’s poor display against Liverpool.
The Denmark international played in midfield alongside Harry Winks against the Reds but he didn’t really have too much of an impact on the game.
Indeed, per WhoScored, while the 6 foot midfielder registered key passes, he did not complete a dribble and was dribbled past on two occasions; he completed just two corners from the four he attempted and was roundly booed when he was substituted.
There is interest from Inter Milan in Eriksen, per FFC sources, and this could well be the final time he is seen in a Spurs shirt.
And, judging by the opinions of a number of fans, that wouldn’t be the worst thing.
The big fat Tottenham quiz of 2019 – how much do you remember about the last year at Spurs?
Eriksen, of course, has been largely woeful for the majority of the season.
His contract expires at the end of the season and it does appear as though his head has been elsewhere throughout the 2019/20 campaign.
Per WhoScored, he has had a rating of over seven on just three occasions and has actually had a rating below six four times.
Against Liverpool, this was another poor showing; fans were well within their rights to vent their feelings.
And a number of supporters merely expressed their sadness at his demise.
If it is the end of his career in north London, manager Jose Mourinho is unlikely to miss him either.
Meanwhile, Spurs could have reached the heights of Liverpool after one moment in time!
