Glasgow Rangers have enjoyed their fair share of wonderful centre-forwards since the turn of the century.
Think back to the halcyon days of Shota Arveladze, Michael Mols, Kris Boyd and Nikica Jelavic, who made scoring look effortless and won plenty of trophies with the Ibrox side.
Recently, players such as Alfredo Morelos, Hamza Igamane and Kemar Roofe all offered something completely different to the club, all scoring memorable goals in the process.
One name stands out among the noise, however. Dado Prso may only have spent three seasons at Ibrox, but the Croatian goes down as a massive cult hero.
Dado Prso’s Rangers statistics
In May 2004, Alex McLeish announced that the Light Blues had agreed to sign AS Monaco striker Dado Prso when his contract with the French giants expired.
During the 2004/05 season, Prso formed a partnership with Nacho Novo that saw them score 46 goals between them as the Gers won the Scottish title and League Cup.
The Croatian was a pure brute. He could lead the line, either by himself or with a partner, while his strength in the air was exceptional.
Not only that, but the centre-forward could score a goal from nothing, which proved to be a huge bonus for McLeish.
He might only have featured in 124 games for the Ibrox side, but his legacy stretches beyond appearances or goals. He was a genuine star when the club signed him.
Rangers haven’t been able to sign players of this class as often in recent years. Might that change this summer?
Rangers could make summer move for former Barcelona star
Rangers have been linked with a surprise move for PSV Eindhoven striker Luuk De Jong this summer, with the veteran said to be open to joining the Ibrox side.
The Dutchman would certainly offer that star quality to a Rangers team that could do with an injection of class.
Throughout his career, De Jong has played for the likes of PSV, Sevilla, Barcelona and Newcastle, scoring 282 competitive goals in that time. For comparison, another reported target in Jamie Vardy has netted 237 club career goals, at professional level.
He might now be 34, but the PSV star – who is four years younger than that man Vardy – could certainly give Russell Martin something extra in the final third in a similar vein to Prso.
Hailed as “exemplary” by his former boss at Barcelona, Xavi, De Jong was a shining light last season for PSV as they won another Eredivisie title.

Alongside his 22 goal contributions, the forward also created 16 big chances and averaged 1.8 key passes per game in the Dutch top flight.
Ageing like a fine wine is De Jong and it would be a significant coup for Martin if he were able to secure his signature.
Being able to bring others into play, while also proving to be a major goal threat, suggests De Jong could be Rangers’ next version of Prso as an elite, proven option to lead the line.
Much will depend on the transfer fee and wages. However, if a deal can somehow be pulled off, Martin would land a masterstroke of a signing.
Rangers target meets Martin and passes Ibrox medical but now may not sign
He’s set to become their eighth signing of the summer.
