As quoted by Sky Sports, Harry Kane has delivered an exciting verdict on learning from recently appointed Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho.
What did he say?
Spurs parted ways with long-serving manager Mauricio Pochettino after a tumultuous start to the season, and Mourinho’s arrival has heralded an up-turn in form – their only blemish under the Portuguese man was a defeat to rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford.

And whilst Kane was quick to acknowledge his relationship with Pochettino, he revealed his excitement at being able to learn from a new voice and a new style of play under Mourinho.

He said: “I got on very well with Poch and I respect Poch very, very, very much. But Mourinho’s got his own style, his own way of doing things. For me, it is about learning that way. My top-level career has only been with one manager, so for me it’s good to experience new things, see how different managers work.
“Mourinho’s one of the highest level managers in our sport, so I can only learn from him. Whenever a new manager comes in, everyone’s ready, wants to work, wants to impress. It’s important over this month, a busy period, and in January that we carry it on. It’s not just for an early period.”
Taking the next step
Under Pochettino’s guidance, Kane established himself as one of the Premier League’s most feared marksmen, winning the Golden Boot award on consecutive occasions in the 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 campaigns. At still only 26-years-old, the England international quite conceivably has yet to hit the prime of his career, and he now has a new manager who can potentially add something unique to his game.
No clues whatsoever: Which seasons do these iconic Spurs images belong to?
New ideas and a fresh approach can often be reinvigorating and sharpen the mind, and whilst Kane by no means plateaued under Pochettino, Mourinho’s arrival will surely encourage him to step his game up another level. The former Manchester United and Real Madrid boss will have watched from afar about the 6 foot 2 striker’s capabilities, and if he can add one or two things he thinks could help develop him even further, then it’s Spurs who will stand to benefit in the long-run.
Meanwhile, this Tottenham ace delivered a composed midfield display against Wolves.
